Product Description

Silicone rubber seats offer excellent elasticity, providing a bubble-tight/zero-leakage seal. Silicone is heat-resistant (typically -50°C to +180°C / +200°C for short periods), ozone-resistant, and aging-resistant, making it suitable for applications requiring frequent switching while maintaining a reliable seal.

Silicone rubber is the most commonly used food-grade material, meeting food/pharmaceutical standards. It is non-toxic, odorless, and does not release harmful substances. It is commonly used in systems with high hygiene requirements, such as drinking water, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and bioengineering.

Two-piece body butterfly valves can be disassembled into upper and lower halves, connected by bolts, facilitating inspection and replacement of the valve seat, valve disc, or stem without completely disassembling the valve from the pipeline.

Silicone rubber withstands higher temperatures than EPDM/NBR, typically up to 180°C (slightly lower than PTFE), making it suitable for medium-to-high temperature applications such as hot water, steam condensate, and hot oil circulation, while also exhibiting excellent low-temperature performance (no embrittlement).

U-shaped butterfly valves have the same structural length (FTF) as wafer butterfly valves. They are suitable for piping systems with limited space but requiring high connection strength.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1What sealing performance do silicone rubber seats provide?
Silicone rubber seats offer superior elasticity to achieve a bubble-tight and zero-leakage seal, maintaining consistent tightness even during high-frequency switching operations.
Q2Are silicone rubber butterfly valves safe for food and pharmaceutical applications?
Yes, silicone rubber is non-toxic, odorless, does not release hazardous substances, and complies with food and pharmaceutical safety standards for hygienic systems.
Q3What is the advantage of a two-piece body butterfly valve design?
The two-piece split body can be taken apart into upper and lower halves via bolts, allowing internal parts such as the seat, disc, or stem to be inspected and serviced conveniently.
Q4What is the working temperature range for silicone seats compared to EPDM and NBR?
Silicone rubber withstands higher temperatures than EPDM/NBR, typically operating from -50°C to +180°C (up to +200°C short-term) without low-temperature embrittlement.
Q5When should U-shaped butterfly valves be selected?
U-shaped butterfly valves share the compact face-to-face dimensions of wafer valves while offering enhanced connection strength for space-restricted, heavy-duty piping systems.
Q6What actuation options are compatible with these valves?
These valves support manual Hand Levers, Gear Boxes, as well as automated Electric and Pneumatic Actuators standard with ISO 5211 upper flange mounting.
