OEM DI CI SS304 Dual Plate Check Valve Manufacturer, Exporter

Dual plate check valve also called wafer type butterfly check valve, swing check valve. This kind of check vavle has good non-return performance, safety and reliability, small flow resistance coefficient. It is mainly used in petroleum, chemical, food, water supply and drainage, and energy systems. A wide range of materials are available, such as cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel and so on.

Product Description

A check valve—also recognized as a one-way valve, non-return valve, or back pressure valve—is an automatic safety mechanism actuated solely by the natural force of medium flow within the pipeline. Designed to prevent fluid reversal, this critical flow-control component shields upstream pumps and motors from inverse rotation while averting unintended tank depressurization and drainage.

Automatic Reverse-Flow Prevention

Safeguards system integrity by automatically blocking backflow and eliminating reverse shock on pumps.

Dual-Orientation Mounting

Engineered with a balanced wafer design capable of reliable seating in both horizontal and vertical pipelines.

Broad Chemical Resistance

Accommodates water, steam, hydrocarbons, nitric acid, acetic acid, urea, and strong oxidizing agents.

Working Principle & Structural Design

The double-plate check valve incorporates a two-lobed circular disc mounted to the valve body with a central hinge pin. Two torsion springs positioned on the pin retain the discs against the valve body sealing surfaces under rest or reverse-pressure conditions. As forward fluid flow commences, dynamic line pressure overcomes spring tension, causing the butterfly-style disc plates to swing open. When forward flow recedes or reverse flow initiates, the combined action of torsional spring force and media back pressure rapidly shuts the discs against the seat.

Featuring a slender wafer profile, this check valve configuration minimizes face-to-face dimensions, reduces overall pipeline load, ensures robust and repeatable sealing, and installs effortlessly between flanges in petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, light industrial, and food manufacturing systems.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the primary function of a double-plate check valve?
The valve automatically opens and closes via media flow force to prevent backflow, protect driving motors and pumps from reverse rotation, and eliminate unintentional fluid discharge from storage vessels.
Can these wafer check valves be installed in both horizontal and vertical piping?
Yes. Due to the compact wafer construction and dual torsion spring mechanism, double-plate check valves can be mounted seamlessly in both horizontal and vertical pipelines.
What standard size ranges and pressure ratings are supported?
The valves cover nominal dimensions from DN50 up to DN800, supporting standard pressure classes including PN6, PN10, PN16, and Class 150 (CL150).
Which manufacturing and flange standards do these valves conform to?
Face-to-face dimensions align with API 609, BS 5155, DIN 3202, and ISO 5752. Flange connections conform to PN6, PN10, PN16, DIN 2501, and BS 5155.
What fluid media can be handled with the available material configurations?
Depending on the selected body, disc, and elastomer/polymer seat configurations, they can handle water, steam, hydrocarbons, nitric acid, acetic acid, urea, and diverse oxidizing chemical media.
What elastomer and polymer seat materials are available?
Sealing options include NBR, EPDM/REPDM, PTFE/RPTFE, Viton, Neoprene, Hypalon, Silicon, and PFA, providing optimal sealing integrity across temperatures and aggressive media.
